  • Not only would these sounds of joy (Jeremiah 7:34) be heard no more, but also "the sound of the millstones," the grinding of corn by women (Exodus 11:5; Matthew 24:41), and "the light of the candle" would cease. The picture presented in (Jeremiah 25:10) is one depicting the complete dissolution of family life, both as to its seasons or rejoicing and as to its daily routine (Revelation 18:22; Revelation 18:23).
