  • When the love of God is waning in the church, love of self springs up into new activity. With the loss of love for God comes the loss of love for the brethren. With the loss of love comes a loss of interest in the salvation of men. Without a doubt, when evangelism is forgotten, the church has lost its first love. Come to Him humbly. Do the first acts, and watch them rekindle the intensity of that first love. (KC 36-37)
