"...Fear not..." (Revelation 1:17)

  • These words doubtless encouraged the prophet personally in the presence of the angel, for he "stood trembling" (Daniel 10:11), and also reassured Daniel that even though he had been praying for three weeks without an apparent answer, yet from the very first God had heard his supplication and set Himself to answer it. Daniel needed not to fear for his people; God had heard him, and God was in control. (4BC 859)
